Today’s AMD has announced the ranks of Ryzen processors for laptops. The company has previously released Ryzen processors for desktop PCs targeting high-end and entry-level segments. While the latest processor launched by the company recently consists of two models, namely Ryzen 5 2500U and Ryzen 7 2700U. Both chips are designed specifically for super-thin laptops and portable laptops.
The new Chip tool is technically APU (accelerated processing units), which is meant by HMD when uploading teaser in May. APU itself means CPU and GPU integrated into one single chip.
Both processors for the latest AMD-launched laptops are paired with the Radeon Vega graphics processor. For Ryzen 5200U processor itself has a clock-speed 2.0GHz which can be increased up to 3.6GHz. As for AMD Ryzen 2700U itself has a base clock-speed 2.2GHz which can be increased to 3.8GHz.
Both laptop processors use 15W power with quad-core and eight threads. As for the graphics, Ryzen 5 2500U processor dipasangkang with eight Radeon Vega compute unit with clock-speed up to 1100Mhz. As for Ryzen 7 2700U has 10 units Radeon Vega compute unit with clock-speed 1300MHz. AMD itself has promised if the new Ryzen processor promises CPU performance of more than 200% compared to previous generation laptop processors and graphics performance increased up to 128%.
